As part of easing restrictions, the .CN domain is open to all international businesses and organizations on a first come, first-served basis. For the first time, international businesses are able to legitimize their presence and advance their penetration into the Chinese market using a .CN domain. Benefits of .CN domain names:
- Access one of the world’s largest markets -China has over 56 million Internet users. This market is estimated to be doubling every 12 to 18 months.
- 2nd and 3rd level .CN domains are widely accepted and recognized by the Chinese population. Over 830,000 domains have already been registered.
- Corporations can ensure protection of an established brand name or corporate identity
- International businesses can put Chinese customers at ease with a “localized” Chinese presence.

Keeling Islands Domain Names (.CC): cc is the ccTLD for Cocos (Keeling Islands), and is also accepted to represent “Chinese Corporation,” “Country Club,” and others. In fact, .cc has become one of the most popular ccTLDs with over 400,000 domains registered in the first year alone. With most domain names still available, .cc should remain popular over the next several years. Since there are no restrictions on registrants, anyone can register a domain name with a .cc.
Tuvalu Domain Name (.TV): .tv set a record for the fastest growing ccTLD in October 2000 by registering over 100,000 names in less than six months. .tv is the TLD for the country of Tuvalu and is an open registry. Anyone can register a domain name under .tv. Most .tv domain names are available at the rate published on this site, but some .tv domain names are considered high profile and are priced separately by the registry. If you happen to register a high-profile registration, you will be informed and asked to adjust your payment accordingly.
kids.us (.kids.us): Before a KIDS.US website can go live, it must undergo a Content Verification process ($250 annual fee paid to Kids.us). This helps to ensure that the content is appropriate for children under 13. The registry will regularly screen and monitor websites to maintain a “kid-friendly” environment. Any individual or organization may register for a KIDS.US domain name as long as they meet the existing U.S. Nexus requirements for the .US domain. A registrant is not required to have a website ready for content review at the time he or she attempts to register a KIDS.US name. Visit www.KIDS.US. Go to www.KIDS.US and click the “Activate Content Review” button.
